JOB SUMMARY
Nokomis, Inc. is a premier R&D company in innovative technology, performing some of the most advanced R&D on the planet to solve problems for government entities and transfer mature technical solutions to the commercial sector. Nokomis was founded in 2002, and we now consist of over 50 employees across three offices and a testing site, all located near Pittsburgh, PA.
Nokomis is seeking a reliable and cheerful individual to join our team as an Administrative Assistant. The applicant must be able to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks in an efficient and organized manner. An ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, the ability to multitask, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic. This position will also serve as a receptionist from time-to-time, where the candidate must use a warm smile and a friendly approach to enhance the guest experience.
This is a full-time position (M-F, 40 hrs/week) as a contractor or contract-to-hire. On-site work will be conducted primarily at our newest business office in Canonsburg, PA, with occasional travel to our other offices.
PRIMARY DUTIES
- Maintain files, organize documents, and handle similar clerical duties
- Answer phone inquiries and provide basic company information
- Monitor incoming emails and arrange for necessary correspondence
- Make adequate travel arrangements and schedule appointments
- Assist in planning and executing company events and meetings
- Greet guests upon arrival and unite them with the appropriate party
- Comply with all security procedures for visitors
- Direct incoming calls and deliver phone messages
- Coordinate incoming and outgoing mail and shipments
- Order office supplies and kitchen products
- Front-desk/receptionist duties as needed
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be able to pass a background screening
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Reliable, organized, and self-motivated
- Professional customer service skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Enthusiasm for performing supportive duties
- Capacity to balance and prioritize multiple tasks
- Familiarity with multi-line phones, faxes, and printers
- Confidence and resourcefulness in solving problems
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
