The Community Health Accreditation Partner, Inc. (CHAP) is an independent, non-profit accrediting body established in 1965. CHAP standards assess the quality of healthcare in home and community-settings nationwide including home health agencies, hospices, private duty home care, home medical equipment suppliers, pharmacies, and providers of palliative care.
The Senior Accreditation Manager (SAM) is responsible for assisting the Directors of Accreditation (DA) with daily operations related to accreditation activities. The SAM works under the direction of the Directors to provide exceptional, timely customer service, site visitor support and the continuous improvement CHAP’s service delivery. The SAM reports to a designated DA as assigned by the Vice President of Accreditation. This is a fully remote position.
Responsibilities:
This position provides support to CHAP Directors of Accreditation and other Accreditation Team members on the review of Site Visitor (surveyor) findings/Plans of Correction primarily for home health & hospice programs. In this role, you will monitor the submission of survey findings and complete the review of survey evidentiary findings for accuracy and completeness and provide feedback as needed. The SAM also monitors customer submissions of Plans of Correction (POC), reviews submissions once received, and determines acceptability of the POC and reports concerns – such as condition level findings – to Directors. This position requires the ability to demonstrate accurate interpretation of the CHAP standards and the Medicare Condition of Participation.
Qualifications:
A successful candidate will be a Registered Nurse with a bachelor's degree. Experience as a CHAP surveyor or surveyor for state agency is highly preferred. Must have a working knowledge of Medicare Home Health and Hospice regulations and a minimum of 5 years working in home health or hospice or related community-based care setting.
