Now Hiring - Vice President of Business Development - Concord, MA
The Vice President of Business Development is responsible for leading and managing the business development activities of the company. Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining marketing and education plans, motivating and managing Marketing team/Community Education Liaisons, and expanding business opportunities. This role also involves representing the company at community events, providing in-service programs to various healthcare staff, coordinating marketing activities, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The VP will participate in strategic planning and performance improvement activities, monitor progress towards marketing goals, and ensure compliance with financial policies.
Reports to: The VP of Business Development reports to the Vice President of Special Operation.
Supervises: The Vice President of Business Development oversees Hospital Liaisons, Directors of Admissions, Central Admissions, Regional Directors of Marketing.
The Vice President of Business Development is responsible for, but not limited to:
- Set objectives and goals for the Regional Marketing Team.
- Assists in the development and maintenance of the marketing and education plan.
- Effectively manages and motivates Marketers/Community Liaisons.
- Develops new business and expands existing business throughout assigned areas.
- Represents Company at community organizations' events and business functions.
- Provides in-service programs to hospital and skilled nursing facility staff, physicians, community groups and other as directed.
- Coordinates all marketing and promotional activities, including meeting and traveling with other marketing department personnel and Administrators (if necessary).
- Visits facilities for Service Review meetings, in-service educational programs, and Quality Assurance as needed.
- Project’s philosophy of care and advocacy for the patients and families.
- Project’s philosophy and goals in all job-related roles.
- Participates in staff development activities, program meetings, and attends off-site conferences as needed.
- Participates in strategic planning meetings and is instrumental in developing monthly, quarterly, and annual sales budgets.
- Maintains awareness of regulatory requirements which impact marketing efforts and goals of the community.
- Participates in performance improvement activities.
- Monitors progress toward accomplishing marketing and educational goals.
- Reviews census data and HPMS reports.
- Meets budgeted census goals.
- Creates necessary forms for reporting.
- Monitors marketing activities and expenses to ensure compliance with financial policies.
- Reviews all expenses, call reports and schedules to maximize use of staff.
- Participates in executive management meetings.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, or Business Health Administration. Minimum 3-5 years in Sales Management experience in a healthcare related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may qualify.
Professional Experience:
- Comprehensive knowledge/skill in financial analysis, strategic planning, and business development
- Excellent analytical and research skills
- Excellent interpersonal and written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of federal and state regulations regarding long-term care operations, and reimbursements
- Managerial and leadership skills
- Computer literacy, including spreadsheet modeling.
- Skilled in marketing healthcare products
- Ability to travel frequently and work flexible hours.
