As a Concession Team Lead, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our concession stands and suites during events. You'll lead a team of concession staff, providing guidance, support, and direction to ensure exceptional service and efficiency. This role requires strong leadership skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of concession staff to deliver high-quality service and meet performance targets. Provide ongoing training, coaching, and feedback to ensure team members are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to excel.
Operations Management: Oversee all aspects of concession stand and suite operations, including, setup, inventory management, food preparation, and financial report handling. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies at all times.
Customer Service: Set a high standard for customer service and ensure that all team members are delivering friendly, efficient service to patrons. Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections of concession stands to ensure cleanliness, organization, and adherence to food safety standards. Monitor food quality and presentation to maintain high standards of excellence.
Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of food, beverages, and supplies and place orders as needed to ensure adequate stock levels. Minimize waste and optimize inventory turnover to maximize profitability.
Performance Tracking: Track key performance metrics such as sales volume and average transaction value. Use data insights to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to drive operational excellence.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably in the hospitality or food service industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and delegate responsibilities effectively.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
- Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision.
- Ability to work with co-workers, volunteers and all levels of staff.
Certificate or Licenses:
- Illinois Food Handlers certificate
- Illinois BASSET preferred
Physical Requirements / Working Conditions:
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
