- THIS IS FOR A 1099 CONTRACTOR POSITION WITH LIMITED HOURS, NOT W2 FULL-TIME EMPLOYMENT!
- MUST HAVE OWN, MULTI-COVERAGE MALPRACTICE INSURANCE.
- $90 - $120.00 PER HOUR.
We are a distinguished paralegal services company that provides limited paralegal services to pro se litigants and full paralegal services to attorneys. We provide—primarily but among other things—exceptional legal document drafting services. Our commitment to superior legal writing and meticulous attention to detail sets us apart in the Utah legal industry.
IMPORTANT: If you do not communicate well, please do not apply. We need someone EXCEPTIONALLY good at communicating verbally and through text and listening actively. We need immediate responses. The ideal applicant will communicate with us immediately and respond ASAP. Again, please do not apply if you cannot fulfill this requirement.
We currently have a unique opportunity for an intelligent, industrious, and motivated attorney fresh out of law school and with limited experience. We need such an attorney due to limitations with our hourly rate budget. We need a relatively inexperienced attorney to help represent our clients in the various legal fields we work in, including criminal law, family law, torts, contracts, civil rights law, civil litigation, etc. This is a phenomenal opportunity to learn multiple areas of law by working with an experienced team that can guide you.
IMPORTANT: Because paralegals cannot own law firms, our arrangement could work in one of two ways:
- We apply to the Utah Legal Sandbox project so that we can employ you directly.
- OR
- You represent clients and sign on with clients directly, with the agreement to have us fulfill clients' paralegal needs. We would sign an agreement saying that any client that comes to us will be advised by you, and in turn, you will use our paralegal services.
This is a position for $90 - $120 per hour, which is why we are offering this position to a relatively inexperienced, new attorney. Your hourly rate will depend upon—among other things—your skills, the results of your work, and your helpfulness generally.
It is crucial that you adhere to the hourly rate referenced above because our intent is to offer legal services to persons at a reduced, more accessible rate.
Some of your roles will be to represent our client at hearings and trials, to negotiate and communicate with opposing counsel, and to work limitedly on legal documents, among other things. Your role will also be to collaborate with our team to ensure the highest quality of legal representation.
