Operations Manager – Job Description
In this role, the successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing the operation of the manufacturing department and the efficacy of the overall program to ensure the utmost in customer satisfaction. The Manufacturing Operations Manager is responsible to oversee the overall manufacturing process in an industry to ensure optimized production.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Representative duties include but are not limited to:
- Design and implement plans for the effective use of material and labor resources to achieve manufacturing customer On Time Delivery Targets. This includes the Injection Molding Machine and Assembly Operations.
- Supervise the operations of manufacturing personnel to ensure a manufacturing process is within the allotted time schedule
- Operations Support: Provisioning; Materials and Production Planning and Control; Inventory and Distribution
- Facilities and Maintenance
- Advanced Manufacturing engineering: design and process knowledge, good practices for manufacturability
- Oversee the hiring, orienting, and training of technical production employees to ensure a competent workforce
- Conduct studies and research to discover a more effective approach to production
- Oversee the regulation of work shift to ensure proper workload distribution
- Analyze and provide solutions to manufacturing challenges or problems
- Liaise with the quality assurance department to ensure product quality and specification are consistent
- Conduct assessments to identify mechanical and procedural limitations that minimize work efficiency
- Monitor and control a production process to adjust operations in event of a problem
- Collaborate with marketing and sales staff to implement strategies that’ll improve the marketability of manufactured products
- Oversee the procurement of raw materials and equipment required for manufacturing
- Review personnel performance to determine individuals most suited for promotion.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related discipline from four-year College or university.
- Five plus years of experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering preferred.
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong Organizational and Time Management Skills
- CNC Machining and Injection Background
- Knowledge of AS9100 is preferred
- Must use logic and critical thinking skills effectively.
- Must be able to lift to twenty pounds repeatedly.
- Must be fluent in writing and speaking English.
- Basic math and fluent ability to read and comprehend verbal and written instructions is required.
- Ability to execute tasks in a timely manner under general supervision
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
