Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
- Schedule and confirm appointments for patients
- Collect and update patient information, including medical history and insurance details
- Assist with insurance verification and claims processing
- Maintain accurate and organized patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Coordinate treatment plans with dentists and specialists
- Educate patients on treatment options, financial responsibilities, and insurance coverage
- Process payments and handle billing inquiries
- Manage office inventory and supplies
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a dental or medical receptionist or treatment coordinator preferred
- Proficiency in dental or medical office software such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, staff, and providers
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures is a plus
