Primary Purpose of Job
Responsible for the maintenance repair work of the Federation campus. This position receives work orders throughout the campus and ensures timely completion. Frequently operates larger mechanical systems and completes maintenance request requiring expertise in a particular craft.
Full-time - Starting pay $19.21 per hour, negotiable with experience.
Schedule 8:30am - 5:00pm M-F

The organization comprises the Jewish Community Center, Rose Blumkin Jewish Home, Jewish Senior Outreach, Jewish Family Service, Anti-Defamation League-Community Relations Committee, Jewish Press, and Institute for Holocaust Education, and the campus is also home to Friedel Jewish Academy and the Nebraska Jewish Historical Society.

Duties and Responsibilities
· Meet regularly with the Maintenance Leader to review maintenance requests for the Jewish Federation.
· Complete maintenance requests as assigned in a timely manner including, especially those requiring expertise in a particular craft.
· Remove snow from sidewalks, entrances, and parking lots of Jewish Federation campus.
· Complete routine inspections and testing of campus equipment and building systems. Keep records as needed.
· Perform planned maintenance on larger mechanical and plumbing systems. Keep records as needed.
· Follow current local and national building codes and safety regulations.
· Use maintenance software programs as needed to complete tasks.
· Communicate maintenance concerns to supervisors in a timely fashion.
· Operate machinery and larger campus equipment.
· Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
· High School Diploma or GED
· Expertise in one or more of the following crafts:
o Carpentry/Drywall
o Electrical
o Plumbing
o HVAC
o Machinery
· 3 years maintenance experience
