Provides accurate and timely setting of dies into power presses. Coordinates first part approval with Quality Control.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Installs and aligns various progressive and secondary dies in press according to specifications.
- Adjusts ram stroke to specified length.
- Develop set-up specifications for new jobs.
- Coordinates the electronic roll feeders with various dies and presses.
- Assists machine operators in troubleshooting press issues.
- Effectively troubleshoots and corrects problems in die to meet quality specifications.
- Follows and trains all safety requirements.
JOB REQUIREMENTS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- High school education or equivalent
- Three year's experience in Die Setting or similar related position.
- Ability to read measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, and tape measures.
- Demonstrated problem solving skills.
- Good mechanical skills.
- Ability to obtain/retain Lift Truck, OH Crane, LOTO Authorization certifications.
- General knowledge of various metal stamping equipment.
