Heritage General Contracting and sister companies are seeking a Construction Quality Control Manager (CQCM) to join our growing organization. Reporting directly to the President, the CQCM be a central part of our project team with responsibility for building, adapting and implementing project quality plans. Responsibilities:
- Ensure all work meets or exceeds the contract requirements and standard of excellence of the contractor.
- Ensure all materials meet or exceed the contract requirements.
- Document, monitor, track, and submit all testing and inspection records and data.
- Coordinate and schedule field testing and inspections.
- Monitor daily construction activities and materials delivered to the site.
- Observe and verify special inspection and material testing performed by third parties.
- Document all work activity, inspections, and testing via daily quality control (QC) reports.
- Manage contract close-out requirements, including inspections, testing, and associated documentation.
Skills, & Qualifications:
- Hold a two-year degree in a construction related field or have a current Journeyman Carpenter’s License and have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in commercial construction.
- USACE Contractor Quality Management (QCM) certification.
- OSHA 30 Hour certification.
- HAZCOM Train the Trainer, Lead Awareness, First Aid and CPR certification or ability to obtain quickly.
- Experience with USACE Three‐Phase Construction Quality Control Program, preferably with quality control experience on government building facilities and in civil construction.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience reading, understanding and interpreting
drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedules.
- Experience documenting all non-compliant materials and/or workmanship, and
compliance after corrective work is completed prior to starting any subsequent work.
- Knowledgeable in quality control testing and inspection procedures for building and civil construction.
- Experience in the quality control sector for Federal, State, and local government facility construction work throughout Alaska is preferred.
- Computer skills including use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Project and Acrobat.
- Experience with Projnet and Procore is an asset.
- Ability to work with and communicate effectively with subcontractors, superintendents, engineering staff, consultants and owner’s representatives.
- Ability to coordinate inspection and testing with direct labor resources and subcontractors.
- Ability to record and organize all necessary documentation to memorialize the implementation, maintenance and effectiveness of the Quality Control Program.
- Ability to exercise good judgment.

Job Type: Full-Time 3-year contract with potential for permanent employment
Compensation: $110,000 - $130,000 annually DOE
