Overview:
As Ultrasound Technician you will perform ultrasonic diagnostic procedures (both general, vascular and cardio studies) as ordered by physician for patients. Ultrasound Technician visits many nursing facilities throughout the five boroughs with a company vehicle and portable imaging equipment. You will have the opportunity to employ your skills and expertise on a regular basis.
Responsibilities in this role include:
- Performing venous and arterial dopplers (upper and lower), abdominals, pelvic (male and female), renal, carotids, thyroid, breast sonograms
- Transporting portable imaging equipment using a company vehicle
- Assisting providers with patients of all ages and backgrounds courteously and efficiently
- Assuring all exams are completed, and documenting exam completion as requested
- Maintaining equipment cleanliness and reviewing supplies levels, noticing and reporting malfunctions and notifying the supervisor of the need to order specific items.
- Operating as a team alongside providers, other technician, medical assistants and practice management staff
- Demonstrating a professional attitude and compassion for patient care
- Collaborating with radiologist and physicians as needed
Qualifications:
- ARDMS Licensed Ultrasound Technician
- Echocardiograms is a plus
- High school education or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Flexible schedule
- At least some experience required: only limited training available
- Ability to work independently
- Trustworthy and dependable
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $32.00 - $38.00 per hour
