Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Front Desk Receptionist in a busy Oral Surgery practice. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service and ensuring a smooth flow of operations in our dental office. This position requires proficiency in dental scheduling systems, knowledge of dental and medical terminology, and the ability to maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Duties:
- This is a Monday-Friday 8-5 position with two 10 minutes breaks a day and 1 hour lunch
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere
- Schedule patient appointments using our dental scheduling system
- Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary co-pays or payments
- Answer phone calls and address patient inquiries or direct them to the appropriate department
- Maintain patient records and update information as necessary
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow and timely communication
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to protect patient privacy and confidentiality
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a front desk or customer service role preferred
- Knowledge of dental/medical terminology is highly desirable
- Proficiency with patient data entry
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
