Job Overview:
Prado & Renteria CPAs, Prof. Corp., is currently interviewing Senior Accuntants to join our office in Chicago’s South Loop. In this position, you will participate in a variety of accounting engagements and special projects, contribute to team building, and build trusted relationships with clients.
Responsibilities:
Perform and/or coordinate accounting, tax, and consulting services to smal business and nonprofit clients, including:
- Coordinate the operations of multiple engagements for small business and nonprofit clients.
- Coordinate team activities to create a high-quality client service experience.
- Monitor due dates and deadlines to support clients in fulfilling their financial and tax compliance requirements.
- Anticipate needs and concerns regarding service delivery and respond in a timely manner.
- Perform assigned client engagement ni accordance with firm policies and client engagement agreements.
- Create opportunities to engage in regular communication with clients to identify challenges and opportunities to support their business growth.
- Prepare draft project deliverables.
- Stay up to date with accounting and tax updates.
ACCOUNTING/ATTESTATION/TAX/CONSULTING SERVICES
- Perform financial statement review engagements.
- Perform financial statement compilation engagements.
- Provide accounting consulting services, including technical support, QuickBooks system implementation, and certification application review services.
- Provide technical support by preparing supplementary information, financial statements, and note disclosures ni accordance with AICPA guidance.
- Work with other departments and ensure the accuracy of financial reporting and presentations. Follow-up and monitor requests for information from the client.
- Contribute to the development and build a depth of knowledge and understanding of firm’s processes and accounting department systems, programs, and procedures.
- Prepares federal and state income tax returns.
- Applies technical knowledge and research in client-related recommendations.
- Develop an understanding of client businesses.
- Active listening and questioning, solving complex business problems, and suggesting possible consulting solutions.
- Develop skills in all core competency areas and apply them effectively.
Requirements:
- College degree in Accounting or Business
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Accounting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (public speaking skills is a plus)
- Excellent understanding, comprehension, and ability to articulate various business processes.
- Strong leadership, communication, project management, and team-building skills
- Professional Trust and confidence of the partner group and staff
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. (Not the same as multi-tasking)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
