Founded in 1963 by the Sisters of the Holy Faith, Saint Hilary School is a unique blend of a traditional and progressive practice. The Fun Stuff
At Saint Hilary School employees enjoy the many perks of the robust and generous parent community. We offer monthly staff luncheons, Honor Our Teacher bonus checks twice a year. Elementary School Teacher
- Present lessons in a comprehensive manner and use visual/audio means to facilitate learning
- Provide individualized instruction to each student by promoting interactive learning
- Create and distribute educational content (notes, summaries, assignments etc.)
- Assess and record students’ progress and provide grades and feedback
- Maintain a tidy and orderly classroom
- Collaborate with other teachers, parents and stakeholders and participate in regular meetings
- Plan and execute educational in-class and outdoor activities and events
- Observe and understand students’ behavior and psyche and report suspicions of neglect, abuse etc.
- Develop and enrich professional skills and knowledge by attending seminars, conferences etc.

Qualifications
- A valid California State Teaching Credential
- A minimum of a Bachelor of Arts in education, or a related field
- A minimum of 2 years teaching experience as a lead teacher preferably in middle school
- A passion for teaching junior high school children and creating an inclusive environment
- Experience with differentiated instruction, social-emotional learning
- Excellent verbal and written skills, as well as outstanding interpersonal skills
- Strong teaching ability; enjoy working with colleagues in a team-based work environment
- Excellent communicability and interpersonal skills
- Practicing Catholic (required for teaching religion)
Compensation
Competitive salary commensurate with experience. Excellent benefits package.
