Summary
This individual will work closely with the Regional Finance Lead and Corporate Finance Department to manage the financial flow and objectives of the local office and regional group. Additionally, and based on workload, this individual may be asked to work with our local regional offices on one-off projects.
This position will work closely with sales teams to determine the best strategic approach for every sales pitch by providing timely and relevant information related to the local and regional area commercial real estate markets. This position may attend client pitches and strategy sessions to educate clients and prospects on the current real estate market and impact it has on real estate decisions.
The Regional Finance Analyst role is meant to oversee the Financial operations of the ____ Region and partner with the local offices within the region to promote consistency and smooth workflow and expedited AR, AP and reporting functions.
Essential duties and responsibilities

Partner with our centralized accounting team to book and reconcile journal entries.

Month-end & Quarterly Close: prepare, format, and provide variance analysis on financial reports, maintain broker balances and other tasks as needed.

Assist in budgeting and forecasting process.

Salesforce maintenance: tracking of deals and pipeline for forecasting; ensure all calculations and data entries are correct; Organize necessary documents, contracts, and agreements to support commission invoicing.

Suggest changes or improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency; provide broker support as needed.

Assist the Finance and Operations Manager with special projects as needed.

Gather business intelligence to support recommended insights and solutions that address prospect’s corporate real estate needs

Perform the research, data gathering and analysis necessary to determine the requirements for new sales pitches

Collect available data to analyze competitors marketing, strategies and tactics in the marketplace

Prepare all research deliverables in support of the sales process

Prepare quarterly research market reports in primary markets and submarkets

Use internal and external sources to track relevant market information to assist transaction managers in staying up to date on market activity

Research and produce additional reports as requested including, but not limited to, submarket reports and landlord analysis

Report internal transaction information on a monthly basis

Update and maintain external lease comparable, tenants in the market, and market news information

Collaborate with research committee in the improvement and development of research deliverables

Participate in research meetings with researchers from other brokerage firms to gather relevant market information including comps, news, and tenants in the market

Able to present information to prospect’s senior leadership

Prepare commission calculations each pay period to be submitted to the Regional Finance Manager

Candidate must have substantial computer experience including exceptional knowledge of Excel, as well as database systems.
Team oriented, effective communicator that is adaptable and has a take charge attitude; professional written and oral communication skills are required, and candidate must possess a willingness to learn and to contribute.
Ability to enter data efficiently, timely, and correctly in order to meet deadlines; disciplined and able to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information.

Education/Experience
Required:
B.A. in business, economics, urban planning, or related analytical, is preferred. Master or experience in data management a plus.
Minimum 3 years of research-focused experience preferably in data analysis, real estate/urban planning, database management
Salesforce CRM knowledge desirable but not required
Experience in the commercial real estate industry is desirable is not required; we will provide industry specific training to support you in this role.
