Full-time Monday to Friday position available at $34.60/hr.
MI-REP program starting immediately at Monroe County Probation and Parole
- Location: Monroe County Probation and Parole
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
Pre Employment requirements
- Physical
- 2-step TB test or QuantiFeron
- Drug screen
Recovery Coaches, licensed in Michigan, support individuals with substance use disorders, especially in correctional settings. Trained by DHHS, they assist offenders with opioid or amphetamine use disorders and mental health concerns. Responsibilities include educating offenders, facilitating treatment scheduling, supervising telehealth sessions, and tracking outcomes.
Duties include:
- Educating offenders about substance use and mental health disorders
- Engaging offenders in services
- Scheduling treatment appointments
- Providing support through challenges
- Reviewing parole plans and discussing available resources
- Developing plans to prevent parole violations
- Completing GPRA Assessments
- Supervising telehealth visits
- Contacting offenders post-release to assess needs and provide support
Qualifications:
- Michigan licensure from an accredited Recovery Coach program
- Strong patient assessment, management, and documentation skills
- Ability to work with diverse patients and staff
- Commitment to Care One's mission
- Flexibility, integrity, and adaptability
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
- Proficiency in English
