The Inventory Coordinator 2 – Used Equipment is responsible for used equipment and used parts/attachments inventory, International Logistics, tracking Used Equipment Rentals, trade-in evaluations, and performing inventory tasks for both used equipment and used attachments/parts in multiple Holt platforms. This position will assist in pricing the used equipment fleet, researching used equipment purchases (history, build sheets, cat facts, etc.), investigating product failures, and shop work orders on all used assets. In addition, the Inventory Coordinator 2 position assists customers and all necessary departments with used equipment and used parts/attachments technical needs.
Essential Functions:
- Models, promotes, and reinforces the consistent use of HOLT’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission
- Oversees trade-in evaluations function to include data entry for tracking various evaluations completed
- Negotiates vendor pricing, lead times, support, warranty, and credits
- Performs Used Inventory reconciliation for both machines and attachments/parts
- Organizes all Used Equipment inventory in applicable platforms
- Performs various marketing functions of used equipment and attachments/parts to include, but not limited to, updating the Holt Used website, sending out emails to our sales force, performing phone calls, and assisting with marketing campaigns
- Monitors work orders on Used Equipment assets
- Quarterly attachments/parts inventory auditing
- Successfully controls logistics for Equipment purchases
- Assists other departments when required
- Identifies areas of improvement regarding sales and inventory operations, generate training material, organize, and host training sessions
- Develops technical knowledge of Caterpillar machines, competitive machines, parts, and attachments
- Maintains equipment inventory systems per standard operating procedures.
- Develops and implements standard operating procedures for inventory systems
- Optimizes Used Equipment inventory fleet utilization
- Assists customers and salesforce in selecting the correct inventory per application to meet customer expectations and to maximize machine performance, fuel efficiency, and cycle times
- Provides training to appropriate departments to assist in ensuring correct steps are followed to accurately and efficiently used equipment inventory
- Requires regular and punctual employee attendance
- Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Computer and related software knowledge and/or experience. (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Pro, Monday.com, myused.com, Infocast, DBS etc)
- Experience in generating Purchase Orders and maintaining PO systems, and DBS.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, installation instructions, parts lists, and compatibility charts.
- International logistics, ISF-2 Homeland Security import documents, customs brokerage, port releases, and monetary conversions between the USD and multiple countries.
- Demonstrated technical knowledge of heavy equipment and attachments.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills including formal presentation skills before small and large groups.
- Demonstrated arithmetic and algebraic skills to compute discounts, markups, percentages, multiplication, division, fractions, and computing hydraulic flow and pressure needs.
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent required, College Degree in a related field preferred
- 2 years of work-related experience required, 5 or more years of experience preferred
- Valid Driver’s License required
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Travel:
- Approximately 25% is to be expected, mostly within Holt’s territory
Physical Requirements:
- At least 60% of the job duties are performed in an office setting at a desk
- Frequently moves about the building to deliver paperwork, check the mail, and greet visitors
- Walks out on the yard and takes measurements or conducts equipment/attachment inspections. When conducting physical inventory counts, it is common to walk between 1-9 miles in a day.
- Occasionally moves/lifts equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
Work Environment:
- Regularly works indoors and may be exposed to weather extremes when working outside in conditions that include inclement weather, heat, cold, and humidity.
