Statement of Job: The concierge is responsible for leading the front desk area and serving the needs of residents, visitors and staff by offering information and assistance in a friendly, efficient and courteous manner.
Hours: Every Monday-Thursday, 1PM-7PM.
Daily Responsibilities
· Receive and welcome residents, visitors and guests in a friendly, professional manner
· Direct visitors to a resident’s room or a manager’s office when asked
· Ensure that all residents, family members and visitors are signing in and out
· Answer the phone quickly and warmly, and take a detailed message or direct the caller to the appropriate department
· Announce any appointments or arrivals to the proper department head
· Sort mail and distribute it to the correct mail folders, residents and managers
· Type daily menu sheets and community announcements
· Keep the front desk and the lobby area neat and organized
Additional Tasks
· Help assemble, maintain and distribute admission information and on-boarding paperwork
· Maintain confidentiality of all resident information to ensure that resident’s rights are protected
· Provide facility information or tours to families and/or prospective residents if the Director of Community Relations is not available
· Calculate monthly meal and room service charges for resident billing purposes
