burger-chan, a gourmet counter-service burger restaurant located in the Galleria area, is seeking a back-of-house team member.
Applicants must be able to perform dishwashing duties on Tuesdays and Sundays (8:30am until 4:30pm).
TUESDAY AND SUNDAY AVAILABILITY IS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION.
Wednesdays through Saturdays, kitchen shifts are available (8:30am until 4:30pm) for fry station or on the burger building line.
No prior work or restaurant experience is required.

Back-of-house team members are expected to:
· Set up and prep station before service
· Practice sanitary and safe food handling at all times
· Carry out cooking responsibilities in a timely, organized, clean manner
· Break down station and clean up after service
· Label and date prepped items, and follow FIFO procedure
· Perform other kitchen duties as needed
· Take on special tasks or help out others when not busy
· Complete assigned daily and weekly cleaning projects
Current shifts are Tuesdays through Sundays, 8:30am until 4:30pm (operating hours are currently 10am-3pm, Tuesdays through Sundays).
On average team members work 5 days a week.
Staff meal is included with each shift, and we pay for uniforms and training (food handlers and TABC).

Pay: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
