Job Title: Food & Event Service Cook

Job Summary: The Food Service Cook will provide routine food preparation, basic cooking and customer assistance services throughout the Café and various Special Events.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Prepare/Cook and serve drinks and foods such as sandwiches, salads, and dressings according to customer specifications.
- Provides menu information and suggestions to customers. Is able to explain preparation methods and ingredients.
- Assists with food preparation as directed, operating food production equipment as required to complete tasks.
- Operates grill, broiler, or deep-fat fryer to prepare specific fast foods.
- Arranges Special Events set up according to diagrams.
- Clears, cleans, and sanitizes tables.
- Maintains, cleans, and sanitizes work stations in café and kitchen.
- Cleans and sanitizes dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other containers and returns to the appropriate location in the kitchen area.
- Refills condiments or other supplies.
- Follows all safety and sanitation guidelines and regulations to ensure quality food service.
- Stock paper goods and food items.
- Stock prepared food cabinets and containers.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
