Overview and Purpose: the HR Generalist will be responsible for providing support in various areas of Human Resources in accordance with Baseline’s business objectives and established policies and procedures. The HR Generalist will analyze, advise on, and help implement HR solutions for Baseline’s entire workforce. This position will work closely with department leaders and employees to ensure effective and compliant policies that promote the safe and long-term development of all team members.
The HR Generalist utilizes working knowledge of the business to provide HR workforce planning support and guidance. The HR Generalist utilizes knowledge of various human resources functions to provide tactical support to management and HR team.

Provide Human Resource support to Baseline’s remote workforce across multiple operating regions and states

Complete requests and updates to HRIS such as position and pay changes, organizational moves, hires/terminations, etc.

Assist with various human resource functions as needed such as verifications of employment, wage and unemployment claims, audits, attorney correspondence, etc.

Work with HRIS provider and carriers to ensure smooth workflows between systems and seamless employee engagement

Maintain accurate and secure employee records and files

Schedule and conduct background checks and drug tests as necessary (pre-employment, random, reasonable suspicion, etc.)

Assist with the development of training and developmental programs for all employees

Complete ad-hoc requests as needed for various departments throughout the company related to HR topics and metrics

Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal labor laws and authorities (ACA, ADA, FMLA, COBRA, etc.)

Assist the HR Manager with the development and updating of company policies and procedures including new policies and maintenance of the company handbook
