Job Description
The IT Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining WireCo's IT infrastructure that supports core organizational functions. This role involves the integration and fine-tuning of Microsoft systems, VMware environments, and network infrastructures to ensure high availability, performance, and security.

Duties & Responsibilities
-
Design, configure, and manage Windows Server environments and the supporting network infrastructure to ensure high system availability and reliability.

Install, configure, and maintain VMware-based virtual platforms, ensuring efficient operation and resource allocation.

Implement and oversee network services including Domain Name System (DNS) , Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), and other network protocols.

Manage system upgrades, migrations, and installations with minimal disruption to business operations, while adhering to industry best practices and compliance standards.

Collaborate with global IT teams to plan and execute infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Conduct regular system audits to identify vulnerabilities and areas for improvement; implement appropriate security measures.

Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and standard operating procedures.

Provide technical support and guidance on infrastructure issues to WireCo teams globally.

Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend solutions for continuous system enhancements and optimizations.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
-
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in systems administration, including solid experience with Microsoft Windows systems, VMware, and network management.

Proficient with virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V.
-
Strong understanding of Microsoft Active Directory and PowerShell scripting.
-
Experience in implementing and managing enterprise network solutions.
-
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Advanced certifications in Microsoft, VMware, or equivalent platforms in a plus.

Experience with AWS cloud services is a plus.
