At Blixt and Company we offer traditional driven pheasant and partridge shooting in the United States of America. It is our goal to bring a long-held English tradition to the majestic American West.
The Field Team: Field Manager, Game Keepers, Dog Handlers, Loaders and Beaters ensure that the guests are having a great time on the field, rain or shine.
We provide an elegant environment and preform a first class sport in Ashton and The Teton Valley with stunning views of the Grand Tetons.
Role:
The Beaters are the heart and soul of what we do at Blixt and Company.
The Beaters are responsible for driving or flushing the birds towards the shooters (referred to as Guns), under the Game Keeper’s instructions.
To enjoy the role of a Beater, you need to be able to walk for long distances and love to spend time in nature. You will be working in a team of 12-15 people, focusing on strategically moving across the field to push birds over the canyons.

Good communication between teams on the field is essential, focusing on what makes the difference in the game. Professional manners and maintaining a sharp look is part of the English tradition of driven shooting.
Job Requirements, including but not limited to:
- Professional appearance and grooming
- Solution-oriented attitude
- Understand the concepts of being anticipatory, friendly not familiar
- Take direction well and be a part of the team
- Self-aware, curious to learn and seek feedback to improve in your position
- Adequate physical condition, able to walk up to or more than 6 miles/day
- Enjoy being outside
- Dressed for the weather with suitable outdoor clothing, hiking boots or similar, to be able to perform the work
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs which includes weekends and holidays
- Can commit to a set schedule and arrive promptly
- Willing to participate in scheduled off season training and preparation sessions
Minimum Candidate Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent preferred
- 16 years of age or older
- Fluent in English
- All beaters will be full-time (30-40 hours/week) seasonal employees and will hold a regular schedule
- Ability to lift in excess of 20 pounds
- Ability to stand for long periods of time, bend, stretch, engage in repetitive motions, push, pull and walk for a long distance
