Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Vendor Sourcing Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and onboarding companies that provide open top roll-off services. This role requires excellent research skills, strong communication abilities, and a keen eye for quality vendors to ensure our company partners with reliable and cost-effective service providers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough market research to identify potential vendors offering open top roll-off services.
- Utilize various sourcing methods such as online databases, industry contacts, trade shows, and referrals.
- Evaluate vendor qualifications, including capabilities, capacity, pricing, and reliability.
- Initiate contact with prospective vendors to assess their interest and capability to partner with our company.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key vendor contacts to facilitate smooth communication and negotiation processes.
- Review and analyze vendor proposals and quotations to determine the best fit for our company’s needs.
- Coordinate and conduct vendor site visits as necessary to assess facilities and operational capabilities.
- Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with selected vendors to secure favorable agreements.
- Maintain a comprehensive database of all current and potential vendors, including performance metrics and contract details.
- Monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance with contractual terms and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Address and resolve any issues or disputes that arise with vendors promptly and effectively.
- Work closely with internal departments, including operations, finance, and compliance, to ensure vendor selections meet all company requirements.
- Prepare regular reports on vendor sourcing activities, including status updates, performance metrics, and cost analyses.
- Participate in cross-functional team meetings to align vendor sourcing strategies with overall business objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in vendor sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in the waste management or construction industry.
- Strong research and analytical skills to identify and evaluate potential vendors.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to establish and maintain vendor relationships.
- Proficient in using sourcing and procurement software and tools.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
