Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance operations at our facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in blow molding machine industrial maintenance, possess leadership qualities, and be experienced in managing maintenance teams.
Leads the maintenance department through guidance, instruction, and provides training resources to foster team growth. Develops a Preventive Maintenance program and manages the maintenance order system. Establishes a relationship with equipment vendors, forecasts equipment needs to ensure readily available supply of parts.
This position reports directly to the General Manager of Engineering.
Responsibilities:
- Manage maintenance team, parts, and equipment.
- Coach and direct the Maintenance team.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, federal, and/or company policies and procedures.
-Works alongside the plant manager and the engineering GM to meet customer deadlines.
- Prepare operational schedules and coordinate maintenance with manufacturing activities to meet production schedules.
- Communicate with quality and production to support production needs.
- Generate weekly/monthly reports as required.
- Monitor the performance of production equipment to ensure adherence to all safety guidelines and compliance with all local, state, federal, and company policies.
- Manage employee selection, training, performance evaluation, documentation, salary, and termination processes.
- Maintain a positive, proactive labor environment.
- Ability to effectively handle employee issues.
This is a 24/7 plant operation.
Experience:
The ideal candidate should have the following skills and qualifications:
- 10+ years’ experience in manufacturing operations
- 5+ years’ experience in a supervisory capacity
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Excellent project management skills
- Proven track record of successfully training employees in productivity and safety.
- Working knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations preferred
- Ability to coach and mentor employees on a one-on-one basis as well as a group.
- Ability to lead by example.
