Choices is seeking a Qualified Developmental Disabilities Professional (QDDP), also known as 'Professional Manager' or 'Program Manager'. This is a professional position that is as challenging as it is rewarding. QDDPs have a broad and positive impact on the lives of wonderful individuals with developmental disabilities.
We are looking for a person who has experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, but more than that, we are looking for a person who has a passion for it!
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assure individuals receive the highest Quality of Care.
- Assure individuals are treated with Dignity and Respect.
- Assure individuals get out into the community and pursue their hopes and dreams.
- Build relationships with families, individuals, physicians, and outside entities.
- Assure the individual's medical and health needs are maintained.
- Conduct or arrange for various trainings, including on-the-job training for employees
- Conduct Environmental Reviews of the individuals' home to assure it is clean and has a warm, comfortable atmosphere.
- Assist with budgeting the individual's money and maintaining proper documentation of individual funds.
- Participate in, monitor, and supervise the implementation of individuals’ Individual Support Plan (ISP) s.
- Monitor assigned individuals’ progress monthly and provide written reports to submit to the respective Support Coordinator.
- On-call rotation for after business hours emergencies
- Advocate for individuals in all facets of their lives.
Experience and Skills:
- Must have a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a Human Services field and at least 1 year experience working with individuals with disabilities OR four years relevant experience.
- Ability to supervise a large number of employees in different locations.
- Strong Leadership skills
- Must be capable of managing multiple tasks.
- Must be organized and capable of maintaining company records.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
