Job Requirements
Sweetwater, the nation's number one online retailer of music instruments and pro audio gear, is seeking a Senior Email Marketing Specialist to join our growing team! Reporting directly to our Email Marketing Manager, this role will manage email campaigns from start to finish while working with various stakeholders to drive ideas from concept to completion.
In this role, you will closely coordinate email communication plans with internal teams, as well as regularly build-out and segmentation of email assets, ensuring deliverables are on-time and executed with a high degree of accuracy and effectiveness. This role will be expected to measure, test, analyze necessary KPIs, presenting campaign performance and advising on potential optimizations.
Job Responsibilities

Guide multiple aspects of email campaign management including strategic planning, development, proofing, deployment, measurement and reporting.

Manage the email production process, ensuring all emails are accurate and performant. Conduct quality assurance testing on email messages; ensure tracking links, images, subject lines, and segmentation lists function properly; verify that email renders correctly across various email clients.

Collaborate with key stakeholders including digital marketing, creative services, marketing analytics, and marketing operations to develop and document email marketing project plans.

Partner with creative services to develop campaign and creative concepts, representing the needs of the email channel.

Participate in email experimentation from hypothesis to execution and measurement. Conduct extensive testing and analysis of email marketing efforts such as creative layout testing, copy testing, and segmentation testing to develop best practices.

Create, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and track initiatives against established goals. Provide regular reports and insights on channel and campaign performance to executive stakeholders.

Consult with marketing analytics to identify reporting needs and document reporting objectives, research available data sources and propose reporting solutions.

Partner closely with IT Development team to troubleshoot technical issues and design, build, and implement new functionality that enables continued growth of email programs.

Identify opportunities for cross-channel integration between email and other marketing channels.

Support similar one-to-one marketing automation efforts including SMS and push.

Consult with business stakeholders regarding email best practices.

Stay current on digital marketing best practices, industry standards, and compliance best practices.
Qualifications

3+ years of professional experience in email marketing.

Experience implementing and optimizing email marketing programs across the entire marketing lifecycle.

Demonstrated proficiency in crafting concise and compelling email content, including impactful subject lines that optimize open rates and engagement metrics.

Experience guiding an email experimentation practice across the full testing lifecycle.

Excellent organizational skills and a process-oriented mindset.

Advanced knowledge and understanding of email marketing and compliance best practices.

Knowledge and familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development for email.

Experience or familiarity with Blueshift email marketing platform.

Experience with Push Notification and SMS marketing channels.

Experience integrating email programs with other direct channels including but not limited to direct mail, search, display, and social media is a plus

Knowledge and familiarity with Liquid development for email preferred
