JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensuring all repairs/replacements are completed as necessary, in an effective and efficient manner including:
- Repair/replace light bulbs, globes or fixtures, windows, latches, screens, hinges, sliding glass doors, shelves, baseboards, mirrors, and closets.
- Assists in the repair/replacement/removal of appliances.
- Repair/replace faucets, sink plugs, washers, curtains, mini-blinds, ceiling fans.
- Scheduling third party work as needed to repair or replace window, plumbing, hvac, concrete/foundations, siding, etc.
- Repairs drywall and paint as necessary.
- Repair/replace sinks, bathtubs, showers, and flooring materials.
- Pick up exterior & interior litter; empty and sanitize trash containers.
- Repair/replace any apartment material/maintenance requests within scope of management responsibility.
- Assists with maintaining the exterior grounds and common areas of the property.
- Assists with snow removal when needed.
- Communicates with Property Manager(s) in a timely manner.
- Be available to be on call some weekends and evenings.
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
3-5 years of Property Management maintenance experience is preferred. Qualified candidates:
- Must have industry specific tools
- Regular attendance, punctuality and dependability is required
- Valid Driver’s License
- Basic computer skills/knowledge required to perform job functions; knowledge of AppFolio software preferred
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and communicate effectively is required
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Location will be a mix between the Newton and Des Moines area
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $29.00 per hour
