POSITION SUMMARY
The Student Conservation Association is seeking a Senior Manager of Brand & Digital Marketing to help drive brand awareness and strengthen the organization's position in the industry through a multi-channel approach to marketing and communications. Reporting to the Senior Director of Marketing and Communications, this position will also be responsible for building deep, supportive relationships with program teams, providing excellent ongoing communications counsel, and helping deliver strategic communications initiatives designed to advance organizational goals.
The salary for this position will range between $79,000 - $89,000 annually.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement strategic digital marketing and communications plans that strengthen the SCA's brand in environmental conservation with alums, donors, program partners, corporate sponsors and in the minds of prospective program participants and future employees.
- Craft, plan, and execute all paid and organic social campaigns to promote programming and open positions, including the daily execution of paid social strategies, campaign development, copywriting, A/B testing, demographic targeting, optimizations and more to steadily grow our audience and influence.
- Maintain budget tracking and actualizations for all paid social campaigns.
- Manage all content for the official website, including writing new content, creating new pages and functionality, implementing/maintaining/sunsetting plugins and bespoke, editing and auditing existing content, and removing outdated content.
- Advise and consult with the Sr. Director and executive leadership regarding marketing and brand strategy, market positioning and executive communications.
- Collaborate with the Sr. Director, programs, partnership and philanthropy teams to define marketing and communications objectives, strategies and priorities, and help lead the marketing and communications team to develop and implement action plans that support these plans.
- Analyze paid and organic social trends using Google Analytics, Sprout Social, Meltwater and platform reports, adapting to frequent landscape changes.
- Help manage Google Ad Grant.
- Assist with the planning, development and implementation of all marketing strategies, marketing communications, and public relations activities, both external and internal.
- Support media relations and monitoring activities, including drafting press releases, talking points, coaching spokespeople, etc., as needed.
- Advises stakeholders on the best approach, channels and timing for communication.
- Ensure alignment and consistency with the brand strategy, style and voice.
- Track workload and assignments in editorial calendar/workload management software.
- Measure and report on channel performance using agreed-upon metrics.
- Collaborate with the MarComm team on other initiatives and projects.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant marketing and communications, web production and social media management experience.
- Experience developing and executing strategic marketing and communications plans and campaigns.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience developing and delivering targeted multi-channel communications and content marketing campaigns to drive employee engagement, brand awareness, and/or generate thought leadership positioning.
- Extensive expertise in Meta Business Suite and Meta Ads Manager. Experience with other social platform Ads Managers is a plus.
- Knowledge of paid and organic social best practices and strong data analysis capabilities.
- Strong working knowledge and experience with Content Management Systems, particularly WordPress and Drupal.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills, including superior attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to excel in a fast-paced work environment and react quickly and appropriately to unpredictable situations.
- Systems or workflow process development experience preferred.
- Willingness to travel 3-5 times per year.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant marketing and communications, web production and social media management experience with increasing levels of responsibility required.
- Excellent brand storytelling, copywriting, editing and proofreading skills.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Experience developing and implementing effective marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
- Experience and comfort with leading graphic design, video and other multimedia production projects.
- Experience in event marketing, digital marketing, social media, and market/audience research to develop communications plans.
- Knowledge of youth and young adult engagement, climate change issues and conservation agencies preferred.
- Experience writing across multiple mediums, including content for presentations, press releases and reports.
- Knowledge of Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion concepts and current social issues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable working with a variety of software platforms.
