Mercer County, NJ firm seeks a Paralegal in its Business Department to become a valued member of our team! The successful candidate will be a self-starter and able to work together with others. You will provide support to attorneys and have the autonomy to direct business transaction with client contact.
Responsibilities:
Collecting and organizing legal documents for attorney review, coordinating, and maintaining transaction checklists, preparing legal documents under the supervision of attorneys in the practice group. You will have contact with clients and other parties involved in transactions, schedule conferences and manage correspondence. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining files and organizing documents in our physical and digital case management platforms as well as drafting documents.
Qualifications:
Previous experience working in a law firm or legal department as a legal assistant or paralegal, ideally with exposure to business law, finance, and real estate matters. Strong knowledge of contract law, commercial leasing, real estate transactions, and financing agreements. Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations governing business transactions and finance agreements. Excellent communication and organizational skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team. Certification as a paralegal is preferred but not required.
