Knife River is committed to developing people. With a state of the art and one-of-a-kind training facility, Knife River is building the capacity to grow and sustain. Work within a team environment to establish training objectives and conduct needs assessments, research and evaluations in Frontline Training Areas that may include heavy equipment operation as well as driver development, systems, operator and maintenance development. Develop educational materials such as handouts, workbooks, slides, and videos. Work throughout the company to optimize and standardize training programs.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Familiar with the Mining/Materials and/or Construction Industry
- Familiar with Mining/Materials and/or Construction Industry Trucks/Equipment
- Must be a positive, upbeat, role-model and have the ability to work effectively with everyone
- Must be organized and have the ability to manage time efficiently
- Must be driven to constantly learn and grow professionally
- After training and coaching, be willing to start teaching classes in front of others with a partner instructor
- Must have or be willing to learn technology including computers and/or iPads
- Must already have or be willing to be coached on individual and/or team communication skills/behaviors
- Ability to travel approximately up to 30%
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Working with a team and after on-the-job training; develop and deliver truck/equipment training content
- Monitor, evaluate, and record training activities
- Support other training courses and/or instructors when needed
- Working with our Training Coordinator to schedule classes
- Provide on-going maintenance of the Training Center and Equipment
- Assist with Training Center events as needed
