The role:

To that end, our Director’s Office is recruiting for a public records & administrative rules coordinator to join our team in Salem. In this role, you will facilitate and support equitable, accurate, on-time delivery of public records for our agency using our
GovQA system
that generates usable data, creates accountability and manages risk appropriately. You will also administer our agency’s Administrative Rules Program, adopt rules, and will direct all activities related to processing the filing of administrative rules for all branches of the agency. Apply today!

A day in the life:
Receive public record requests that come to the agency through its web portal, email, mail or phone.
Interpret requests and assign tasks within the GovQA system, requesting clarification from requesters when needed.
Collaborate with agency staff to locate and collect records, prepare them for release and release prepared records to requesters.
Assist customers with technology and provide requesters with acknowledgement forms, cost estimates, billing and records of payment received.
Consult with the public records advocate or legal counsel to resolve questions, problems and concerns.
Monitor system for compliance with statutory deadlines.
Provide training and consultation to staff on program features, procedures, requirements and agency policies for responding to requests.
Facilitate the adoption, amendment and repeal of agency administrative rules.
Advise rule writers and research statute and rules.
Establish schedule for rule activities to comply with requirements and effective dates of new laws.
Read, interpret and write analyses of fiscal and other impacts of bills or bill amendments.
Work in an office environment with hybrid work options available.

Minimum qualifications:
Any combination of experience and education equivalent to five years of experience that typically supports the
knowledge and skills for the classification
.
OR
A bachelor's degree in business or public administration, behavioral or social sciences, finance, political science or any degree demonstrating the capacity for the
knowledge and skills
; and two years professional-level evaluative, analytical and planning work.
