Civil Clothing Inc. is seeking HR/Payroll Coordinator to join our fast-growing e-commerce apparel company in Torrance, CA. The HR/Payroll Coordinator will support the HR and Payroll departments. Duties include a wide range of support activities to general clerical task such as data entry, maintaining employee database, office administration. The company reserves the right to add, delete or modify duties at any time with or without notice. Duties including but are not limited to and other tasks may be assigned:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process bi-weekly payroll using Paylocity
- Assist with day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties, provide clerical and administrative support to HR Department
- Benefits administration including billing reconciliation, explaining benefits and enrollment process using EASE online portal, assist with annual open enrollment
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation
- Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately
- Assist with companywide event planning
- Responsible and maintain daily facility needs such as stocking up supplies, ordering office supplies, coffee, toiletry, etc…
- Help keeping common areas neat and clean
- Maintain strict confidentiality of candidate and employee information
- Assist with accounting department as needed, filing, enter invoices & purchase orders, etc…
- Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Must possess the ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language
- Advanced Microsoft office skills (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
- Detail oriented, strong analytical skills, ability to detect inconsistencies in data, and ability to work with minimal supervision
- Proficient in bookkeeping NetSuite software, spreadsheets and related Office software
- Experience in using Paylocity & Ease Systems
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- High level of integrity and trustworthiness
- Ability to maintain confidential information
- Ability to multi-tasks and function well in a high-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to meet tight deadline
- Some short distance travel between two business locations
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma
- Minimum 5 years in administering payroll
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.05 - $25.36 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
