Job Description: Access Technician/Installer
Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and eager Access Technician/Installer to join our team. You will install and maintain accessibility equipment, including stair lifts, ramps, vertical wheelchair lifts, patient ceiling lift tracks, automatic door openers, and more. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual looking grow and develop in a new market for Miller’s.
This is a full-time position, in a company provided vehicle. Monday – Friday 8:30AM to 5:00PM.
Valid Driver's License required!
Responsibilities:
· Assist experienced technicians in the installation and maintenance of various accessibility equipment, ensuring all work is completed accurately and efficiently.
· Learn how to install stair lifts, ramps, vertical wheelchair lifts, and other mobility solutions in residential and commercial settings.
· Assist in concrete pad preparation and pouring for accessibility equipment installations.
· Gain experience in the installation of automatic door openers for improved accessibility.
· Help set up and install patient ceiling lift tracks for safe patient transfer systems.
· Collaborate with the team to ensure projects are completed on time and according to specifications.
· Comply with all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
· Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Interest in the accessibility industry and a desire to learn and grow as an Access Technician.
· Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various environments.
· Basic knowledge of hand tools and construction equipment is a plus but not mandatory.
· Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
· Strong attention to detail and willingness to follow instructions.
· Reliable, punctual, and committed to working a full-time schedule from Monday to Friday.

As an Installation Technician, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining various systems, including alarm systems and fire alarm systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in blueprint reading, system design, and field service.
Responsibilities:
- Install and configure alarm systems and fire alarm systems according to specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine system layout and installation requirements
- Conduct system testing to ensure proper functionality
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with installed systems
- Provide technical support to customers regarding system operation and maintenance
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of installations
- Maintain accurate documentation of installations, repairs, and service calls
Experience:
- Previous experience in installation and maintenance of alarm systems or fire alarm systems
- Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements for system installation
- Familiarity with system design principles and practices
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams
- Strong mechanical knowledge and electrical skills
- Experience in field service or customer support is a plus
