Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Staff/Senior Accountant will be responsible for providing accounting support and will record daily and monthly transactional activity.
- Keeping track of company finances, preparing and monitoring budgets, managing payroll and projects.
- Working with financial statements, a degree in finance or accounting is required.
- Compute taxes and prepare tax returns
- Performing accounting procedures, e.g. A/R, A/P, time billing, P/R, G/L, tax payments and inventory control
- Month end and quarterly closing (e.g., manage balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements)
- Analyzing and reconciling general ledger accounts and investment transactions in conjunction with preparing quarterly reports for management.
- Participating in the proposal process for prospective clients.
- Assisting in developing, building, and managing professional client relationships.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience
- Minimum 1 year of tax experience
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the general accepted accounting principles
- Hands-on experience with accounting software like QuickBooks
- Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and Pivot Tables
- Experience with general ledger functions
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
- AA - BS in Accounting, Finance, Business or relevant degree (preferred
- EA License (HIGHLY PREFFERED)
