Who You Are:
Versar is seeking Security Specialist to ensure the physical protection of government employees, visitors, information, and assets throughout the National Capital Region. Candidates will support security policy compliance and implementation and physical access control activities.
What You’ll Do:

Provide security services to include VIP, foreign national, and high-profile dignitary facility escorting.

Perform as National Capital Region (NCR) building security liaison; coordinate with Federal Protective Service, Commercial Building Management, and Security Guard Services.

Perform clerical and data entry services.

Assist with writer/editor and security analysis functions to include policy generation, development of standard operating procedures, and physical access control system modernization documentation development.

Assist program officials with developing written procedures compliant to established policies.

Conduct Personal Identity Verification (PIV) card issuance and workstation operation; issue PIV cards; and enroll, issue, and activate PIV cards.

Develop, review, and revise security policies and procedures related to the physical security posture of NCR occupied space that addresses security services areas of concern or interest and provide recommendations.

Schedule/cancel appointments for visitors, employees and contractors to the PIV Card Issuing Facility.

Capture new and existing employee and contractor information to input into a database(s).

Run reports of data housed in internal systems and other commercial data management systems
What You’ll Bring:

HS Diploma or equivalent
-
1-2 years’ experience in PIV card issuance support role
-
Must be able to work independently in fast paced, dynamic environment.

Must have excellent customer service skills.
Location Requirements
The position will primarily work onsite in Washington, DC.
Compensation
Expected Salary: $45,000 – $55,000
