Minimum Qualifications Required:
- High school graduation or other equivalent (i.e., General Education Development (GED), foreign equivalency, etc.).
- Experience working with children and youth.
- Possesses the ability to pass a pre-employment criminal history background check and fingerprinting.

Job Description:
Instructional Aides (IA) provide instructional and behavioral support in classrooms, and/or other school related areas, performing a wide variety of duties. An IA works as a member of the school team to implement an effective educational program, and to monitor, direct and supervise students in assigned areas (such as the lunchroom, playground, etc.). Instructional Aides assist in enforcing school rules and policies pertaining to student conduct, welfare, health & safety.
Instructional Aides assist general education classroom teachers in providing accommodations and/or modifications based on students’ IEP’s. They support and assist students in notetaking, learning activities, social interactions, and testing support. IA’s are responsible for completion of service logs on a daily basis for services provided to students with IEP’s.
Additional Duties Include:
- Help maintain order, safety, and conduct of students in hallways, lunchrooms, playgrounds, restrooms, etc.
- Monitor students during lunch times as well as morning and afternoon drop-off and pick-up procedures.
- Assist with carline pick-up & drop-off by safely getting students to & from their vehicles and through crosswalks.
- If necessary, intervene in student disputes. Help prevent situations that may cause injury or endanger any students’ welfare or safety.
Pay & Benefits:
Typical work days will be 7 to 7.5 hours (depending on scheduling) with a half-hour unpaid lunch period. You will be expected to work each day students are present (180 days) as well as attend required trainings and meetings that may be held prior to the school year and/or on DATA days which students only attend for half the day (approx. 6 additional days). Pay depends on experience.
