Houston Christian High School is seeking a Librarian. This position is part-time or could be full-time with additional teaching duties.
The Librarian ensures the school library program is aligned with the mission, vision, and goals of HC and is an integral component of the instructional program. This position is responsible for oversight and administration of all library, information, and media resources. As a leader in the school community, the Librarian serves as an advocate for the school library, creating an environment that encourages the use of educational technology to engage students and improve learning.
QUALIFICATIONS:.
Education degree. Masters degree degree in library science preferred
Teacher certification preferred.
Classroom teaching experience.
Experience with integrating technology into the curriculum and research process.
Ability to collaborate and lead other team members.
Proficient in basic technology applications, specifically Google Apps knowledge (i.e. Google Drive, Google Docs, Gmail).
Excellent verbal, visual, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Represent the school in a positive light.
