Job Summary:
We are seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals. As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide essential care and support to individuals in need, promoting their independence and well-being. Available Shifts Thurs 11pm-7am Fri 3pm-11pm Sat 7am-3pm/3pm-11pm Southwest Philadelphia
Responsibilities:
- Assist individuals with daily living activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and mobility
- Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals under your care
- Administer medication and monitor vital signs as needed
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including dressing, bathing, and toileting
- Support individuals in participating in social and recreational activities
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for individuals
- Document individual progress and any incidents that occur
Qualifications:
- Experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred
- Ability to drive and lift individuals as required
- Knowledge of senior care practices and long-term care protocols
- Proficiency in providing first aid when necessary
- Familiarity with assisting individuals with ADLs
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with individuals and their families
