We are seeking an experienced CPA for Coleman Enviromental. This position requires a strong accounting background to lead our finance function, and will interact directly with vendors, customers, and outside professionals. We offer an excellent pay and benefit package based on experience. Basic purpose of the job: Manage all activities of the accounting department, assuring that proper internal controls are in place to safeguard company assets, and insure accurate and timely reporting of company financial results. Supervise accounting department personnel. Lead the company’s financial pursuits in a pro-active manner through analysis of profit centers and cost control, providing ideas and observations for consideration by President. Contacts: This is an important position that interacts daily with vendors, employees, suppliers, and various representatives from the community. Minimum education and experience requirements: The qualifications and requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform the job successfully: Four year Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Minimum of 5 years accounting experience Thorough knowledge of computer systems and business software, including accounting software and spreadsheets Knowledge of multi state a plus, knowledge of CA a must Responsibilities Will Include: Directing all aspects of accounting functions, overseeing all transactions related to general ledger, receivables, payables, payroll, and monthly/quarterly/annual financial reporting Maintaining the books for multiple affiliate entities Collaborating with a team of professionals across several functional areas (e.g. billing, operations, etc.) Close collaboration with the Billing team to optimize processes and integrate billing software with accounting software to support real-time financial data Coordinating, preparing, and reviewing companywide monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets Analyzing financial results with respect to revenues, margins, profits, trends, overhead expenses, cash flows, working capital, and budget-to-actual comparisons Prepare and issue regular financial statements and other ad hoc reports to senior management Cash flow management and regular financial dashboard reporting to senior management Develop, implement, and maintain all necessary accounting policies, procedures, and systems Ensure that records are maintained in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Maintaining P&Ls by healthcare provider, including revenue, cost and overhead allocation Coordinate with outside CPA firm to prepare federal, state, and local tax returns and related information Interact with financial institutions, IT consultants, outside corporate legal, etc. Other finance, administrative and corporate duties as required to meet the needs of a growing company To perform the job successfully, the successful applicant should demonstrate the following skills/characteristics to perform the essential functions of this position: Analytical – analyze complex or diverse information Problem solving – Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; gather and analyze information skillfully. Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
