Family Practice office seeks Full-time Medical Receptionist. Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist required; experience speaking with insurance companies regarding claims management also preferred. Applicant must have superb written, phone, and interpersonal communication skills and good computer skills including EMR knowledge.
Responsibilities:
- Answering incoming phone calls and directing them appropriately
- Taking accurate messages and ensuring timely delivery
- Scheduling patient appointments efficiently
- Managing check-in and check-out processes with attention to detail
- Entering insurance and demographic information accurately into the system
- Performing administrative tasks like scanning, faxing, and maintaining records
- Opening and closing the office following established procedures
- Communicating with insurance companies to address rejected claims
- Assisting patients with billing inquiries in a professional manner
Experience
- Previous experience as a medical receptionist preferred
- Familiarity with medical terminology and office procedures
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to multitask effectively, and attention to detail
