What You’ll Do
Gyptech is seeking a Field Engineer/Service Representative to join our team. The role travels to customer sites to bring Gyptech value directly to the customer with our OEM engineering, global supply and knowledge base as tools.
Your role will involve:
· Troubleshooting and providing technical solutions for customer equipment with Gyptech value adds – OEM design, knowledge, innovation, equipment history etc.
· Technically advising customers/third party crews to successfully complete service work and outages on site.
· Responding to requests for emergency repairs and services of customer equipment
· Direct responsibility for safety, quality, schedule, and cost/productivity of assigned projects.
· Supporting quotations and generating sales through growing customer relationships on site.
· Preparing technical customer site reports, and other administrative tasks as required.
This position is based remotely in South Central USA; however, it is primarily a field position with the requirement to travel to customer plants on a consistent basis. Expected travel commitment is approximately 70% per year.
What You Offer
· Engineering degree or technical diploma (mechanical or controls). Alternately, a demonstration of equivalent experience (e.g. millwright, maintenance etc.).
· Minimum 2+ years’ experience in industrial or material handling equipment environments.
· Wallboard manufacturing experience an asset.
· Strong English communication skills.
· Self-starter with the ability to work both in a team environment and independently
· Experience with Microsoft Office suite, especially MS Excel.
· Available to travel to a variety of different locations.
