Drawing upon the firm’s deep experience in the highly-regulated Orthotics and Prosthetics industry, CBS specializes in solving complicated medical billing and revenue cycle challenges, to stabilize and stimulate cash flow and profitability for all types of medical practices throughout the U.S. We are very successful which had led to our continuous growth.
Daily tasks: Performs insurance verifications and authorizations for a variety of carriers. This includes:
Corresponding with a variety of insurance companies.
Verifying patient benefits.
Obtaining any out-of-pocket or out-of-network costs for the patient.
Verifying codes that need preauthorization.
Training: We train our team members frequently to ensure they are up to date on policies, procedures, and software, making them successful in the ever-changing world of billing.
Requirements:
The perfect candidate for this role will thrive in solving complicated problems, enjoy researching to find the best solutions, and will not be afraid to ask questions, admit mistakes, or grow into their role.
1. Must have a minimum of 2 years insurance verification experience in the orthotic and prosthetic specialty
2. Must be able to sit or stand at a desk and work on a computer and telephone for the duration of the regularly scheduled shift.
3. Must be able to perform written and oral communications effectively and efficiently with co-workers, insurance representatives, clients, and patients.
4. Must be able to read, understand and analyze general business periodicals, professional journals, procedure manuals, or governmental regulations.
5. Must have great attention to detail in both reading and following instructions and will write the word octopus anywhere in their resume or cover letter for this application.
Certificates and Licenses: None Required- Certified Biller is a plus.
