Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the operator is responsible for following all policies and procedures associated with the various parts and equipment that they may be required to run. In addition, operators are required to load/unload parts, inspect parts using various precision measuring tools, accept or reject parts, and communicate any changes, both verbally and in writing.
- Set up and operate both horizontal and vertical machining centers.
- Analyze and interpret Op sheets, blueprints, mechanical drawings, and travelers to produce products that meet or exceed customer specifications.

Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to customer specifications, using precision measuring tools and equipment as necessary.

Analyze, interpret CMM reports, and properly offset machine dimensions to meet customer specifications

Perform Deburr operations to within specified tolerances

Maintain working knowledge of CNC principles, including G and M codes

Maintain working knowledge of rotary/linear axes
- Selects, aligns, and secures fixtures, tooling, and workpieces on machines as necessary to machine parts as required.

Capable of running multiple machines, when assigned
- Follow all Hi-Tek policies and procedures, including the use of proper PPE
- Operate overhead crane when necessary.
- Report proper labor hours in the ERP system.

Maintain a safe and clean work environment by performing daily housekeeping duties.

Capable of running multiple machines, when assigned .

Demonstrates the ability to lift 35 pounds regularly.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED required.

CNC Mill experience required - Min 1 yr.

Ability to perform basic math functions including basic trigonometry.

Troubleshooting/problem-solving skills.
