Come join our growing Rehab Department! We are looking for a Part time or Full time Occupational Therapist to work M-F scheduled hours. The OT will be providing physical assessments and treatments for patients of the department suffering from injuries or muscle, nerve, joint, or bone disease in order to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability. Qualifications:
· Graduate of an occupational therapy accredited curriculum
· Current Montana state Occupational Therapist License (or ability to obtain one prior to employment start date)
· Demonstrates good verbal and written communication, and organization skills.
· Possess and maintains current CPR Certification.
· Prior experience in acute care and outpatient settings
· Prior experience utilizing EMR for documenting
Duties and Responsibilities: DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Evaluates patient's functional status (muscle function, endurance, visual coordination, written and verbal communication skills, self care ability, work capacity, etc.). Evaluates home environment for hazards or barriers to more independent living. Identifies equipment needs. Participates in the development of the total plan of care.
- Develops treatment program and establishes goals for improved function. Communicates plan of care to referring physician and other organization professionals.
- Maintains appropriate clinical records, clinical notes, and reports to the physician any changes in the patient's condition. Submits these records in accordance with Organization policy.
- Maintains contact/communication with other personnel involved in the patient's care to promote coordinated, efficient care.
- Attends and contributes to in-services, case conferences, and other meetings as required by Organization policy to ensure coordinated and comprehensive plans of care for the patients of the Organization.
- Participates in discharge planning for patient.
- Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants, provisional licensees, students and support personnel in accordance with state licensure requirements and professional standards
- Visit patients’ homes to help install or use assistive devices
- Identify need for and make referral to other disciplines to address the comprehensive needs of the patient
- Comply with all license requirements set forth by the set of Montana for Occupational Therapists.
