Job Summary:
We are seeking a Billing Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical collection, understanding EOBs, journal entries, and credit analysis.
MINIMUM ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Answer calls kindly and politely and assist patients with questions
- Transfer calls to insurance specialists as needed
- Communicate to billing department regarding patient’s requests
- Post patient payments
- Miscellaneous administrative duties as directed by manager
- Regular and reliable attendance and punctuality at job site

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma
- College education or trade school preferred
- Ability to operate a multi-line phone system
- Comfortable using email and interacting with Internet applications
- Knowledge of practice management and word processing software
- Ability to perform multiple and diverse tasks simultaneously
- Ability to perform redundant tasks with minimal error rate
- Neat, professional appearance
- Ability to use good judgment in the course of contact with physicians, patients, staff and attorney
