The Re-entry Employment Specialist provides administrative support for all program initiatives. This position is responsible for working with the Job Center Lead, other College staff, and employer partners to provide information and referrals for participant access to employment opportunities. The position supports participants with employability preparation, ongoing job placement support and assists Job Center Lead with tracking and reporting of participant and program outcomes.
ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:
1. Provides administrative support for all program initiatives.
2. Works with program staff, employers, re-entry and corrections stakeholders to support participant access to programming, employment and certification assessments.
3. Works with Director and various stakeholders to increase re-entry employment opportunities.
4. Assists with day to day Job Center operations.
5. Assists with ongoing tracking and reporting of participant and program outcomes to Job Center Lead.
6. Assists with outreach and retention efforts with employers.
7. Participates in various events including, but not limited to: departmental meetings, community meetings, job and re-entry fairs and student appreciation events.
8. Consistently and dependably attends work, activities, and functions as scheduled or assigned.

6. Ability to maintain accurate records and pay close attention to detail.
7. Ability to work well with minimal supervision in a team-oriented environment.

Required Qualification
Associate’s degree with three (3) years of full-time work related experience including high attention to detail, planning and/or program management and scheduling.
Equivalent combination of education and/or work experience considered.
Preferred Qualifications Physical Demands
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Salary/Hourly Rate $22.00 minimum Shift Differential N/A
