Admissions Manager
Adolescent Mental/Behavioral Health
Position Description:
The Admissions Manager position at SCS is a pivotal role. As a participant on the SCS leadership team, this role supports and directly contributes to some of the most rewarding, life changing work in behavioral health. The Admissions Manager is accountable for leading a well-coordinated, integrated, streamlined, and supportive front and back end SCS experience for clients, families, and referral partners giving priority to supporting client transition through the continuum of care from inquiry/referral through discharge and long-term outcome.
This role collaborates frequently with the admin, business development and clinical departments, frequently supporting communication, managing expectations and supporting internal and external stakeholder accountability throughout the comprehensive SCS experience. Articulate communication and impeccable follow-through is a critical part of this role. The ability to develop expertise in, describe, align, and correlate SCS services with different types and levels of behavioral healthcare is required. A refined ability to discuss SCS interventions as they relate to both industry best practice and SCS outcomes is a must.
As an ancillary member of the marketing and business development teams, the Admissions Manager supports SCS initiatives and activities including but not limited to providing facility tours to prospective clients/families and industry professionals, participating in industry conferences, education, outreach activities, and community events.
In addition, qualified candidates will have the skills necessary to inspire confidence in SCS programs and the SCS team, and consistently supports SCS commitment to providing the community at large with the assistance necessary to connect to the most relevant mental and behavioral health resources available.
Responsibilities
· Work in collaboration with SCS marketing and business development departments to support the expansion of referral partners, referral sources and channels for SCS to collaborate and refer within.
· Develop and maintain relationships with existing and prospective referring organizations, programs, and professionals, with a focus on supporting and educating on SCS levels of care, expertise, and the “secret sauce” that consistently influences such successful outcomes.
· Provide and host industry and facility tours, support SCS participation in conferences, training, and other related activities
· Accurately gather, maintain and distribute data according to SCS data collection and distribution requirements and best practice.
· Maintain current knowledge of and data on SCS and industry referral, census, changes, trends, referral partners and prospects.
· Support clinical, program, and industry research for the purpose of helping SCS maintain industry best practice
· Develop and maintain strong industry and community relationships that allow for SCS to participate in strategic industry and community support.
· Manage all leads, referrals and inquiries through to admission/intake or referral out, helping disqualified leads to safely admit to the most appropriate alternative care.
· Coordinate the gathering and verification of insurance benefits, taking accountability to research, interpret, educate, and communicate policy benefits and limitations, including estimate of cost, for prospective SCS clients.
· Anticipate, identify, support, and coordinate the needs and requirements of families as they inquire of and admit to SCS programs, including coordinating and conducting intakes and exit interviews.
· Participate in or observe various aspects of SCS programming monthly to maintain current knowledge of SCS intervention protocol and best practice relative to how both support outcomes for individuals and families participating in SCS programs/treatment.
· Contribute to and support a safe and stable environment for students, families, and staff.

Education/Credentials
· Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in behavioral or social sciences or related field
· Social work experience a plus
· Relevant behavioral health background preferred
· All candidates must be able to pass a background check
