POSITION OVERVIEW
Manage AVL systems integration projects to achieve time, scope, budget, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction requirements. Lead technicians in the installations and commissioning of high-end professional audio, video, and lighting projects. Ensure the installation of sound, video, lighting, and control systems in accordance with BHS standards and APEX standards.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Direct all technicians and activities on multiple project sites
- Coordinate installations across multiple jobsites
- Advise Operations Manger about schedule and materials needed on the project
- Share knowledge and expertise to promote team development
- Ensure assigned tasks are completed on time and within budget
- Have substantial field experience with a professional Audio/Video integrator
- Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints
- Create and manage the project schedule and coordinate appropriate resources for all assigned projects
- Point of contact for all internal and external project communication and documentation for the life of the project – ability to interface with different trades including representing BHS in construction meetings
- Verify work performed on each assigned job meets BHS standards and APEX standards
- Manage or facilitate the testing and certification of installed systems
- Ensure clients receive appropriate training on all installed systems
- Is available to work out-of-town (gone overnight), evenings, weekends, and long hours if client service is needed
- Must possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving record and reliable transportation
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Effectively manage multiple simultaneous projects
- Demonstrate time management skills with attention to detail
- Understand AV system functionality and installation processes and techniques
- Understand technical and construction documents
- Understand and demonstrate proper rigging techniques and best practices
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Microsoft Project and Adobe Acrobat
- Proficient in autoCad preferred
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & CERTIFICATIONS
- Minimum ten years of experience within the AV industry and five years of experience as an Audio, video, and lighting installer
- Experience managing large, multi-phase projects preferred
- Actively involved in continuing education to improve knowledge in electronics, A/V and project management
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- CTS certification preferred
- OSHA 30 certification required
