Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated entry-level Production Scheduler Assistant to join our team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for recent graduates or individuals looking to start their career in manufacturing operations. The Production Scheduler Assistant will play a key role in optimizing our production processes by assisting in the planning and coordination of schedules.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in creating and maintaining production schedules to meet customer demands and maximize efficiency.
- Work closely with production managers and team members to understand production requirements and priorities.
- Monitor inventory levels and production capacity to identify potential issues or opportunities for improvement.
- Coordinate with purchasing and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of materials for production.
- Communicate schedule changes and updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Utilize scheduling software and tools to input data and generate reports.
- Support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives in scheduling processes.
- Provide administrative support as needed, including documentation and record-keeping.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in related field preferred, but not mandatory.
- No previous Production Scheduling experience required; training will be provided on the job for the right candidate with the following:
- Basic computer skills required, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented with good organization skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and systems.
- Interest in manufacturing operations and supply chain management is a plus.
